Lumberjack
If Gary Ellis had a signature road frame, this would be it. He might be from the moist PNW, but we've got a hell of a lotta wetness, dirt roads, and eye-watering, white-knuckle descents out here in Western MA. The Lumberjack isn't a throwback bike, even though it's made out of one of the most popular steel tubesets from the 90's, has clearance for bigger tires, and can fit full fenders. Just like the Skeletor, it's a full-on world-class racing bike. | The Lumberjack is just as strong, stiff and smooth as our aluminum bikes. It's about two pounds heavier and good deal more expensive. It's also the mostest-badassedest steel frameset around. If you need a road bike for going fast everywhere for the next 30 years, quite frankly, it's a great choice. |
Do you have a 40 mile commute through the mountains in the winter? |
| Do you want a bike that can run fenders and win Cat 1 crits? |

| Something to blast gnarly gravel and moderate singletrack? |
Need a tool to help you live a packaged hard-guy eurotrash fetish lifestyle? |
This is it. Get a Lumberjack. |
![]() It's your civic duty. | Because it's steel, it can be built with more clearance than one of our aluminum bikes. You can always fit 28c tires, and if you want, we can modify the fork and frame to fit full fenders.
| Because it's a 4 pound strong and stiff frame, it's the best foundation upon which to build a steel bike for racing in the USA. | ||||
| Because it's tough as hell, you can buy it as a Cat 5 and crash it daily until you decide you want something new. | ||||
| Because the tubeset is well designed, it gives you lots of road feedback. It's braille on rails with a pinch of butter. That's good, trust us. | ||||
| Because it's as stiff as an aluminum bike, it feels predictable underneath you. | ||||
Because it's custom, and because we've been doing this shit for almost 20 years, it'll fit like a phantom limb.
